Harrison feels that one of the biggest ways you can boost your career or job search is by creating a huge sense of urgency around your efforts. The higher the sense of urgency you create, the faster you will be able to meet your goals. During his early years as an asphalt repair services provider, Harrison recounts how he hardly managed to make any sales and people would usually respond that they would “think about” his offer. He then decided to counter this by changing his sales strategy; he began to include that his services were available only for a very limited period. This worked wonderfully and more people consented immediately to have an asphalt repair job done.
The same goes for your job search. If you are currently employed, it helps create a sense of urgency that motivates potential employers to hire you before you change your mind about moving to their firm.
