Move Towards the Light
By: Harrison Barnes

Career Mission's Chief Executive Officer, A. Harrison Barnes, in a webinar showed you the path of light and positivity.

One of the most negative things we can do is leave our minds open to others’ negative influences.  Life is about dealing with positively and negatively charged poles–light and darkness.  We are continually facing either positive people and circumstances, or negative people and circumstances.  Life is a struggle between bringing the light into our lives and bringing the darkness into our lives.

The best moments in our lives are when we allow the light to overcome us, and the worst moments are when we allow the darkness to overcome us.  The way you think on a day-to-day basis, the people you associate with, the places you go, the things you do, what you read, what you watch on television and the things you say are all an expression of darkness or light, the positive or negative.

The power of the light is something that transforms all those who are around it.  You should do everything within your power to remain connected to the light.  The more you are around the light, the more you become like the light.  Your goal should be to become like the light and maintain contact with what is good, positive, happy, spiritual and uplifting.  At the same time you should be doing everything within your power to avoid darkness.

Always do everything within your power to move towards the light–and never away from it.  The more you truly live going towards the light, the happier, more fulfilled and better off you will be.  The more you are going away from the light, the more pain and suffering you will encounter in your life.

Forbes Reports 151,352 Layoffs for January Itself; Employment Authority Proposes Alternative Job Search Approach

Pasadena, CA — According to a compilation by Forbes recently, there were 151,352 layoffs at America’s 500 largest public companies in the month of January. MORE

"There are always vacancies. Organizations are born, organizations expand, workers become restless, quit, change jobs, move, become ill long-term, or become handicapped, retire, or die. There are always jobs out there waiting to be filled. The fact that you can't find those jobs only means the vacancy hasn't been advertised, or you're not using the right method to find it. When the Internet or job-postings, or agencies, or ads, or resumes, don't work, there are other ways of turning up the job you want. So, if you're coming up 'empty,' you need to change the search method you've been using. ... To speed up your search for one of the jobs that are out there, go after many different organizations, instead of just one or two."
