An Important Personal Video Message from the Founder of
Employment Authority

Hi, I'm Harrison Barnes, the founder and CEO of Employment Authority, and welcome.

Employment Authority is probably, in my opinion, the most effective way to get a job. I do not know of any more effective way to get a job than using Employment Authority. It's like a nuclear bomb for your job search. It's that powerful, and I want to tell you why right now.

What Employment Authority does is different than anything else out there. We go and we research every corporation, every firm, and every organization in the United States, and we get their contact information. How do we do that? We have over 500 employees and some of the most sophisticated software available for doing that. When we get that information together, we categorize it. We categorize it by industry. We categorize it by company size. And we categorize it by company revenue. We put all that information in a database. The results of this are incredible.

Say you're working in Austin, Texas, and you're in advertising. If you get on the Internet and you look at Monster, CareerBuilder, what you're going to find is one or two jobs that match what you're trying to do, if that. You may go to another site, a research site like EmploymentCrossing, and find ten times that or even more. But the point is, when you use Employment Authority, we're going to enable you to expose yourself to the entire employment market for what you do at one time. So for example, if you're in advertising, there are probably hundreds of advertising companies in Austin. But what happens is most people end up only applying to the few jobs on Monster or CareerBuilder, or the few jobs they find. And that's a huge problem. Because when you use Employment Authority, what we do is we bring all those contacts to one place, and we enable you to contact every single employer at one time via mail with a well-written resume and a well-written cover letter.

This process works. It's the most effective way possible to get a job. Let me tell you why. When you're sending a letter to all those employers at once...Very few of those employers are getting unsolicited people writing them for a job. It's a curiosity for one when it happens. Most people these days are sending things over the Internet. When that resumes arrives, they pay attention. They look at it. It typically comes in and is routed to the president or routed to the HR department.

Things that are done in paper inside companies — which is, it's a big secret — are treated a lot differently than email. It could be an important piece of correspondence about something big that is happening. Paper is treated differently than email. You should always mail your resume. But what happens is, when that piece of paper gets in there, you've basically contacted every single employer that matches your interest at one time in your industry in your location of choice where you want to work. Whether or not that employer has an ad on a website, they may have an ad. There are over 15,000 job sites out there. They may have an ad on one of 15,000 job sites. They may have an ad in one of 25,000 newspapers in the United States. You do not know where that employer is advertising. And it would be impossible for you to look at all the sources. It would take you years. At that same time, you've applied to all those employers. You've expressed an interest. You've basically applied to any open job, no matter where it's posted, anywhere. In addition, you're sending them a resume that details your skills. By detailing your skills and showing them who you are, you're giving them the opportunity to bring you in and interview you and hire you if they want. And that's a profound and very, very helpful thing. When they have the opportunity to hire you like that, the odds of you getting hired increase dramatically.

I've seen thousands of careers changed for the better using Employment Authority. It's an incredible service. It works. I have 100 % confidence in it. Again, it's the way you market yourself. You're marketing yourself at once to every single employer. What could be more effective? Don't sit around and play around on job boards and things like that. You could do that. It does work. And there are really good job research companies like EmploymentCrossing that do that. But Employment Authority, when you use this service you're supercharging your job search to a level that is profound. Because you're applying to every single employer at once, opening or not, even if they don't have an opening. You need to understand, employers are businesses. If they think that by hiring you, they can make money, they will bring you in for an interview. It's that simple, even if they don't have openings. When you contact them that reminds them there is a possibility that they might have an opening for you and they can hire you. It works. It's a great service.

Let me just go through a little bit about how the service works specifically so you can understand it. And once you understand that, I encourage you to sign up right away and get started with the process cause it's going to change your career. You'll see. What happens is basically you sign up on our website. Then we will send you a confirming email the second you sign up, and someone will call you on the phone. Now, there's no obligation at this point. All you're doing is signing up and providing us your contact information. And someone is going to contact you. When someone contacts you, they are going to discuss the time that is most appropriate for you to talk to us. We need about a half hour or 45 minutes, sometimes up to an hour or sometimes more, because we're going to explore what you want to do and what you want to do as a career. You're going to be set up with what is called an employment advocate. Most of our employment advocates are attorneys, that's just because they have research backgrounds. And they're very, very good at research. That means they can understand wherever you're coming from and every profession. It's not that they only counsel attorneys. They do, but they also counsel accountants, people in advertising, every profession out there. They need those kinds of research skills to go through and really comb through our database. Most of them have legal backgrounds.

Then you'll be setup for an appointment with them. It's probably going to be the next day. But, there's a tremendous demand for our service. It may be the day after that or the day after that. It just depend on the time of the year that you're contacting us. Right now, with the recession looming and coming on so strong there has been some back-up in terms of when you can get an appointment. But we'll try our best to get you in right away .

When you talk with the employment advocate, the employment advocate will talk to you and go through your goals. And the service is free there's no obligation for talking to an employment advocate. The employment advocate will identify for you a number of employers that they believe fit what you're trying to do. Once they've identified those number of employers in your industry by doing all those searches, they will discuss it with you. Then they'll put together a list of all the employers. And they'll save that list. Then they'll discuss with you the pricing for us helping you do the mailing. What we do next is, then you'll get an email after that. You'll upload your resume.

At this point, the works starts. We will take our resume team and do the best job we possibly can. Our resume team is powered by Preferred Resumes, which is one of the most effective and prestigious resume companies in the United States. They do tons and tons of resumes and they're very, very good at it. They have procedures in place. Everyone that does a resume is a full-time employee. They do a great job. That resume is uploaded. Preferred Resumes begins work on it. They also begin work on a cover letter that is geared to your employer. That information then is sent to you after the resume is completed. That usually is a matter of as quickly as possible, usually five to ten days. Once that resume is completed and you've approved it, it goes to our printing facility.

The resumes are printed, the cover letters are printed. It's printed on nice paper. It's printed on extremely good printers, like $7,000 printers, so you get a very good work product. I guess that's a good way to put it. So it's printed. That information, the resumes and cover letters and envelopes (which are also professionally printed), are boxed up and sent to you. Once you get them you can mail them out and begin your job search. You can usually expect to get calls in one to two days. The postal service is a lot faster than people think it is. Once you start getting those calls, you can start to go out on interviews. Unfortunately, we are not experts on interviews and things like that sort of thing. Our job is to basically help you and supercharge your job search. That's what we do. At the same time, we do want to hear from you. You can call us and discuss your interview and how it's going. You can call and discuss things with your employment advocate. Because we are available.

As a matter of fact, we are going to be available throughout your career. I have found that most people who use Employment Authority are people who have used it before. Because maybe four or five years ago, they used it and found a job. They know it works. And they know it's the most effective way to get a job. I strongly encourage you to sign up for Employment Authority today. I know you're going to like what we do. It's a fantastic service. It's going to change your career. It's going to be the best money you ever spent. The service is very inexpensive. And for the value provided, it's going to make a difference. You will almost certainly, if you follow the advice of your employment advocate, have a very, very good job search. I'm certain of it. Thank you. I'm Harrison Barnes, the founder and CEO of Employment Authority. I wish you the best. Goodbye.

Forbes Reports 151,352 Layoffs for January Itself; Employment Authority Proposes Alternative Job Search Approach

Pasadena, CA — According to a compilation by Forbes recently, there were 151,352 layoffs at America’s 500 largest public companies in the month of January. MORE

"There are always vacancies. Organizations are born, organizations expand, workers become restless, quit, change jobs, move, become ill long-term, or become handicapped, retire, or die. There are always jobs out there waiting to be filled. The fact that you can't find those jobs only means the vacancy hasn't been advertised, or you're not using the right method to find it. When the Internet or job-postings, or agencies, or ads, or resumes, don't work, there are other ways of turning up the job you want. So, if you're coming up 'empty,' you need to change the search method you've been using. ... To speed up your search for one of the jobs that are out there, go after many different organizations, instead of just one or two."
